Clinical Application
Used for atraumatic handling and secure manipulation of dressings, sponges and soft tissue during wound care, debridement and general surgical procedures. The curved geometry and 26.5 cm length provide extended reach into wound beds, cavities and deep dressing pockets while maintaining clear sight lines for precise placement and removal of packing material.
Design & Configuration
The curved (cvd) Gross–Maier dressing profile concentrates gripping force at the tip for reliable capture of gauze and sponges. Serrated dressing jaws improve purchase on wet or bulky materials without using a locking ratchet, allowing rapid release and repositioning during repetitive dressing changes. The absence of a ratchet reduces bulk and simplifies one-handed handling during intraoperative and bedside procedures.
