Clinical Application
Designed to facilitate percutaneous introduction of guidewires during catheter placement and vascular access procedures. The curved geometry is useful when an angulated or oblique approach is required—common in interventional radiology, peripheral and central venous access, and procedures that require controlled redirection for safe vessel entry. Sized for 8 Fr systems, the needle supports placement and exchanges of compatible catheter assemblies in standard clinical workflows.
Design & Configuration
The full curved (cvd) shaft provides a predefined curvature to assist in negotiating anatomical contours and obtaining optimal entry angle without repeated needle repositioning. A 15 cm overall length gives adequate reach for deeper access while maintaining tactile feedback. The curvature reduces the need for compensatory manipulation at the hub and can improve operator control when advancing guidewires along a non-linear trajectory.
