Design & Configuration

The instrument pairs a penetrating trocar point with a matching rigid cannula. The trocar is used to traverse the tissue layers; once access is achieved, the trocar is withdrawn to leave the cannula in place as a stable conduit. This geometry minimizes uncontrolled tissue disruption, permits instrument exchange through the lumen, and provides a durable pathway for drainage or instrumentation. A straight configuration facilitates direct access along the intended trajectory and simplifies insertion and removal in confined procedural settings.
