Clinical Application

Designed for uterine aspiration and evacuation procedures, this 6 mm cannula is used to remove intrauterine contents during first‑trimester surgical abortion and the surgical management of miscarriage. The 6 mm lumen is selected when a larger bore is required to maintain effective aspiration flow, reduce clogging, and facilitate removal of soft tissue fragments during manual or electrically driven suction procedures.

Design & Configuration

The Fig.2 configuration is a rigid, straight tubular cannula with a smooth distal profile to help minimize endometrial trauma during insertion and aspiration. A 6 mm internal diameter balances flow capacity and control: larger than fine bore cannulae for faster evacuation, yet small enough to allow controlled advancement and tactile feedback. The proximal hub accepts suction connection and provides a secure interface for tubing used in aspiration systems.
